A friend gifted me the ‘fake’ Richard Mille watch – Skiibii clarifies

Abbey Toyyib Elias, the Nigerian singer popularly known as Skiibii has reacted after being exposed for allegedly wearing a “fake” Richard Mille watch.

A page dedicated to differentiating real wristwatches from fakes ones had shown why Skiibii’s own was not the original.

@Fakewatchbuster highlighted parts of the Richard Mille which the artiste wore and that of one made by the company and noted that the differences are clearly visible.

It reposted the image and wrote: “For those who keep asking about that RM001, yes, that’s not a legit Richard Millie; as you can see from the pic, there are a lot of differences clearly visible from the distance.”

As soon as Skiibii’s ex-girlfriend, Dorcas Shola Fapson saw the post, she immediately took to the comment section to mock the ‘Baddest Boy’ crooner.

Using a laughing emoji, Dorcas aka Ms DSF wrote; “Made in Yaba.”

Seeing the need to clear himself after being publicly embarrassed, Skiibii has now explained that the fake designer wristwatch was a gift from a friend.

The artiste shared a video via Instastories capturing the moment he was gifted the wristwatch and mentioned that he received it from one Adel Hassan

Skiibii could be heard saying; “My n*gga just gave me a Richard Millie just like that mehn. Adel Hassan, just give me Richard Millie o! He comot ham say make I take.”
