Nigerian comedy icon, Ayo Makun, better known as AY Comedian and Bright Okpocha AKA Basketmouth have finally reconciled after a long-standing feud that lasted 17 years.
On September 14th, 2024, Basketmouth celebrated his 46th birthday with a lively photo on his Instagram.
To everyone’s surprise, Ayo Makun responded with a heartfelt tribute, marking the end of their 17-year feud, which was rumored to have started over an unpaid debt.
Basketmouth embraced the new chapter of his life with playful caption, “Say hello to the Birthday Boy. Life begins @ 46″.
AY took to his comment section as he referred to Basketmouth as “Eze Gburugburu 1” (a respectful title in Igbo culture).
Makun’s message was filled with well-wishes, encouraging his former rival to enjoy his special day to the fullest.
He wrote, “Happy birthday, my bro. I wish you a fantastic birthday filled with joy and laughter! May your hard work and dedication continue to pay off. Basketmouth, who appreciate his birthday wishes, responded, “Thank you so much, bro. I appreciate you.”
