Nigerian singer cum producer, John Saviours Udomboso also known as Young John, has opened up about what he used to believe in when he was a child.

He said watching his parents while growing up made him believe in true love, however as he has become an adult, he now sees something different.

Young John shared this while having a chat with Saige Jones about his upbringing and coming to terms with a different reality in the outside world.

According to the ‘Dada’ crooner, he grew up in a Christian background, with both his parents being pastors while his mother also owned a school.

The 29-year-old Chocolate City artiste further revealed that he began his music career in church as a drummer and keyboardist.

Young John said; “I grew up in a religious home. Both my mum and dad were pastors. My mum had a school. She was a psychologist. So I grew up in a religious background. I started my music career as a church drummer and keyboardist.

“When I was really young, I believed in love so much because of what I used to see between my parents, before I grew up and saw the world is a lot different than that.

“My family was a very closed one until everybody got busy with life. And life happened. My mum is late now. We lost her to cancer. It happened a while ago. I’m over it now.”
