Tochi Wigwe, the daughter of late Access Bank CEO Herbert Wigwe goes emotional and by extension breaks into tears as she renders a tribute to her dad.
Tribute Service was put together to honour Dr. Herbert Wigwe. It was an event that had in attendance the crème de la crème of Nigeria’s business and political world.
It was a moment for friends, colleagues, partners, and classmates to offer their tributes to Dr. Wigwe.
Recall that Wigwe tragically passed away on Friday night, February 9th, in a helicopter crash alongside his wife and son.
Tochi Wigwe was invited up to the stage to offer her tribute to her late father and by extension described who her dad was to her.
According to her, she is a person who hated public speaking but her late dad tried to convince her that he hated it as well but it is something he had to do.
Reflecting on her late dad, Tochi Wige said her father Herbert Wigwe was an extra-ordinary person, driven, determined, and always surpassing expectations.
She said that her late dad always urged her to reach a new height she never imagined. She continued that wherever her mind is full of doubt her father used to tell her that she doesn’t know the daughter of who she is but she knows now after his death.
Speaking further Tochi Wigwe said her father was a feminist, a champion of equality while stating that distance is not a barrier for his father as he always checks up on her no matter the distance noting that he was a divine blessing in her life.
According to Tochi, her late dad Wigwe used to describe her and her mother as the two most beautiful people in the world stressing that he gave her the name “Pretty.”
She said that her dad always inquire about her life and even asked about her thoughts on the Wigwe University noting that he was an unwavering support system to her.
Tochi said she is entirely grateful to her late dad asserting that if he raised his voice at her, he would come an hour later to apologize to her.
