President Bola Tinubu has said that he is determined to succeed by all means in the delivery of his promises to Nigerians and that any Minister who fails to work and deliver the promises will be asked to leave his government.

He spoke at the opening of a three-day retreat with the theme, “Delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda,” organized for ministers, presidential aides, permanent secretaries, and top government officials at the presidential villa in Abuja. He reiterated that as a human being, he will make mistakes, saying when such errors are pointed out to him, he will immediately correct them, adding: “you are here to help me succeed.”

“At the end of this retreat, you will sign a performance bond with me… I stand before you and I have claimed on several occasions and I am saying today again, as the president I can make a mistake, point it to me, I would resolve that conflict, that error. Perfection is of God almighty. But you are there to help me succeed and success I must achieve by all means necessary.” he said

He said that at the end of the retreat, a bond of understanding will be established between the participants and himself, noting;

”If you’re are performing, nothing to fear. If you’re not performing, we review and if you cannot perform, you leave us.”

He assured them of a free hand to carry out their responsibilities, admonishing them to ask questions about how and when to do their jobs.
