A video has emerged showing President Bola Tinubu losing his footing and falling during an official reception parade in Ankara, Turkey. The incident occurred while the President was exchanging pleasantries with officials and walking alongside his Turkish counterpart, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Security personnel and aides on the scene acted quickly to help the President back to his feet. While the fall has reignited public discussions regarding the President’s health, there has been no official statement specifically addressing the incident.
President Tinubu arrived in Turkey on Monday night for a state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations. Despite the stumble during the honors ceremony, the President’s itinerary remains focused on high-level talks and the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between Nigeria and Türkiye.
