Abia State Governor-elect, Alex Otti of the Labour Party, has taken to twitter to react after he was announced winner of the governorship election in the state.
After days of stalling, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced Otti winner of the 18 March Governorship election in Abia State on Wednesday, March 22.
Reacting to his victory via his official Twitter account, Otti pledged to serve Abians judiciously for the next four years.
He wrote: “See what the Lord has done.”
He added in another tweet: “With deep humility and a profound sense of responsibility, I wholeheartedly accept your mandate to be your chief servant for the next 4 years.”
Otti got 175,467 votes, while his closest rival, Ahiwe, got 88,529, according to INEC.
Otti’s victory led to jubilation across the streets of Umuahia and other parts of the state.
