With the Nigerian voting population stepping out to elect their next president across the nation’s over 176 thousand polling units, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed absolute confidence in emerging victorious on the ballots.

While addressing journalists at his Ikoyi home on Saturday, the former Lagos governor explained that he expects Nigerians to vote for him despite the perceived failure of the Muhammadu Buhari administration in the last 8 years because his track records as a former Lagos Governor was clear for all to see.

Going further, the APC flag bearer argued that he has worked harder than any other candidate in convincing Nigerians to cast their votes for him.

He said; “I am Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I am not the party called APC. My track record and capacity should speak for me. It should document the history of my performance. Nigerians who are voting across the country should do so for the individual, not the party. The party is just a symbol and a platform to decide where you belong. What is the ideology? Is it a progressive party like ours?

I have my agenda well published and articulated. And I have worked so hard visiting states and public platforms. As far as selling my program is concerned, I have worked harder than any other candidate in this country just to show my capacity. My program is well articulated and distributed, and I have met with the people on a one-on-one basis. I have met them in town halls, in rallies, and in individual focus groups. I have answered all their questions on how I developed Lagos which is a nation by itself. The records are there.”
