The Lekki Central Mosque has removed the banner that elicited backlash from Christians but the new banner in place has also raised brows.
Previously, a banner placed at the gate of the Mosque, facing the main road read: “Jesus Christ is not God! He is a prophet and messenger of God!”
Christians pointed out that the banner was disrespectful to Christians who believe in the trinity – that Jesus is God.
This led to mixed reactions and the banner was removed.
