Big Brother Naija’s former housemate Alex Unusual has reacted to a video of students from Federal Government College, Enugu, mass beating their classmate.

The reality star stated that such barbaric behavior should lead to serious consequences, especially in Secondary school. She noted how this isn’t the first time her alma mater has been exposed to such barbaric behaviors.

Sharing her experience, Alex stated that she can’t count the many times she had to endure people hitting her like this, but one thing was sure: she made sure nobody went through it on her watch as a senior. She stated that she never did it to anyone. Alex disclosed that 2011 and 2012 were the worst years of her life because of mass beating.

“My school? I’m not surprised.
I don’t care what he did. Mass beating should lead to serious consequences, especially in secondary schools. 10th of September 2024, I put out a post about this same act and narrated my experience in this same school.
11th of November 2024 I’m watching the same act on the news, same school!!!!. If you wanted a visual representation of my story, there you have it.

Shame on Federal government college Enugu students/ teachers and all unity schools/teachers or anyone that sees mass beating as a normal act.

If a child does something wrong, report it to the authorities. When I was in Federal Enugu, reporting didn’t do much, but that’s because most senior students were bribing teachers, and I don’t think the Ministry of Education or committees in charge of unity schools had/have a standing/particular law on this particular act. Correct me if I’m misinformed.

I can’t count how many times I had to endure people hitting me like this, but one thing is sure: I made sure nobody went through it on my watch as a senior. I never did it to anyone. If you know I did it to you, speak now and come say it to my face or forever hold your goddamn peace.

While some people see this as training, mending, blending, discipline, or whatever, I see it as an act by heartless children/people.

2011 and 2012 were one of the worst years of my life because of mass beating. Watching this video triggered trauma I thought I had healed from. It never goes away!!.

The authorities know that this goes on under their noses and I’m not sure why it hasn’t been stopped.

All sets of this school and most federal government schools/unity schools pass this act down like a tradition. Everyone waiting for when they are senīors to retaliate and mend juniors. They pour out their frustrations on junior students, especially the ones they feel are better than them.

Good hurt people don’t hurt people. They know what hurt feels like so they protect others from that pain. Bad hurt people believe in hurting others. That’s my personal belief and I’ll stand by it”.
