The Nigerian Senate has postponed the scheduled screening of seven ministerial nominees initially set for Tuesday. Senator Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, announced the shift in a statement released in Abuja.

The delay aims to provide nominees additional time to finalize the required documentation.

While no specific rescheduled date was provided, sources indicate the screening will likely occur on Wednesday, October 30, at 12:00 p.m.

The ministerial nominees awaiting screening include:

Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction),
Muhammadu Dingyadi (Labour & Employment),
Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu (State Foreign Affairs),
Dr. Jumoke Oduwole (Industry, Trade, and Investment),
Idi Mukhtar Maiha (Livestock Development),
Yusuf Ata (State, Housing and Urban Development),
Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad (State Education).

The Senate’s postponement allows time for the completion of administrative procedures necessary for the process.
