A flag belonging to the separatists in Nigeria, Biafra has been publicly hanging on an electricity cable in Port Harcourt with security operatives reportedly making futile attempts to pull it down.
This morning, 20th of July, 2017 the Nigerian police were at Ikokwu area in Port Harcourt, Rivers State trying to bring down a Biafra flag hanging high on a line for hours in futility.
A police operative could be seen wielding a long stick to bring down the multi-coloured flag but reportedly failed and was forced to make an exit with his colleagues.
The Nigerian government has frowned at the division of Nigeria with a stern warning issued to the sympathizers of the Independent People of Biafra and their United Kingdom returnee leader, Nnamdi Kanu who was recently freed from prison on bail after 18 months incarceration.
