Presidents Buhari, Trump and other world leaders are showering PM Modi with congratulatry messages since the big win. India just concluded it’s election seen as the largest democratic election with a population of over 1.3billion people, 900million legible voters and estimated cost of $1.7billion in election outlays.
As Nigeria’s largest trade partner, President Buhari appreciated the mutually beneficial Nigeria-India relationship and looked forward to expanding existing cooperation on energy, infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing and health. Buhari wished the Indian Prime Minister a successful new term in office that ushers in more prosperity, progress and stability to the people of the world’s largest democracy.
President Trump was thrilled with the outcome and details of the Indian election that saw PM Modi’s landslide win. He expressed this in a recent tweet on his official tweeter handle.
Trump went on to say that he was looking forward to working with Modi.
“Great things are in store for the US-India partnership with the return of PM Modi at the helm,” the US President tweeted.
The Tributes didn’t stop with President Buhari and Trump as other Leaders around the globe sent in their greeting, wishing India the best in the next 5 years.
